Julien Vindal is a composer, music producer, author and founder of MagicTone, an independent studio dedicated to original music, sound identities and atmospheric experiences.His work explores the relationship between music, space, emotion and human presence — and how sound can shape the way a place is perceived and remembered.Drawing on a long professional background in hospitality and gastronomy, Julien founded MagicTone to connect musical creation with the lived experience of hotels, restaurants, retreats and other distinctive spaces.Alongside his work in sound identity and hospitality, he has developed an extensive independent catalogue spanning dub, jazz, soul, ambient music, chanson and transcultural forms.As an artist, he records and performs under the name Shivago. He is also the author of The Sound of Hospitality, a book examining the role of sound, atmosphere and sensory perception in the guest experience.
